Islamabad Police Introduce Open Courts to Address Citizens’ Grievances

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, has initiated a series of open court sessions to directly address public concerns and grievances. The initiative, held at his office, aims to offer citizens an accessible platform to voice their issues, with immediate directives issued for their resolution.

During the open court, DIG Tariq underscored the importance of these sessions by highlighting the availability of the “IGP Complaint Cell 1715” for registering complaints. He conveyed that Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has mandated all senior police officers to conduct similar open courts throughout the district.

In accordance with these instructions, zonal Senior Superintendents of Police (SPs) are organizing open courts in their respective areas to ensure that citizens’ concerns are effectively heard and addressed.

DIG Tariq reiterated that the Islamabad Police is committed to engaging with the public and resolving their issues efficiently. He encouraged all Islamabad residents to participate in these forums, stating that the resolution of public grievances remains a top priority for the police force.
