ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has strongly condemned a terrorist attack on the Joint Check Post at Aman Mela, Dera Ismail Khan, which resulted in the deaths and injuries of personnel from Pakistan Customs, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police, and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise and Taxation Department. The assault included an attack on an ambulance that was transporting the injured, signaling a severe breach of humanitarian norms.

According to Press Information Department, the FBR has expressed profound condolences for the loss of its personnel, Havaldar Farman Ullah and Sepoy Usama, who were killed in the line of duty. The Board has pledged comprehensive support to the bereaved families and assured them of continuous assistance. Instructions have been issued to customs officials to ensure all necessary support for these families.

The FBR has also committed to providing the best available medical care for the injured, including Inspector Kashif, Sepoy Afaq Adil, Sepoy Mehboob, and Sepoy Affan, who are currently under treatment. The Board extended its condolences to the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Excise and Taxation Department for the loss of their personnel, emphasizing shared grief and commitment in the ongoing fight against terrorism.

In a broader statement, the FBR highlighted the critical role of Pakistan Customs in securing the nation’s borders, working alongside other law enforcement agencies to combat smuggling and violence.
