Tanveer Encourages Swedish Investment in Pakistan’s Agricultural Sectors


Islamabad: Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain has extended an invitation to Swedish companies to invest in Pakistan’s agriculture, food processing, dairy, post-harvest management, and value-added sectors. This invitation was made during a meeting with Swedish Ambassador Alexandra Berg von Linde in Islamabad.



According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions between the two representatives focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation in the fields of agriculture, food security, livestock, research, innovation, and sustainable development. Ambassador Berg von Linde emphasized the positive contributions made by Swedish companies currently operating in Pakistan, particularly within the sectors of food processing, dairy packaging, and sustainable textile production.



Both parties acknowledged that the presence and experience of Swedish companies in these areas provide a solid basis for further expanding economic and agricultural cooperation between the two nations.
