Islamabad: A Full Court Reference was held today at the Supreme Court of Pakistan to honor the outgoing Chief Justice, Justice Qazi Faez Isa. The ceremony was attended by the judiciary’s highest ranks, including the Chief Justice-designate, Justice Yahya Afridi, along with other dignitaries from the legal community.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the event saw participation from judges of the Supreme Court, ad-hoc judges, Shariat Appellate Court judges, and representatives of the Bar Associations. Senior lawyers and other members of the legal fraternity also marked their presence.
Distinguished speakers such as the Chief Justice of Pakistan-designate, Justice Yahya Afridi, the Attorney General for Pakistan Mansoor Usman Awan, Vice Chairman Pakistan Bar Council Farooq H Naek, and President Supreme Court Bar Association Shehzad Shaukat delivered speeches. They collectively praised Justice Isa’s contributions to the rule of law and his dedication to the nation throughout his tenure.
