Strict Security Plan Implemented in Islamabad for Eid-ul-Adha

Islamabad: A comprehensive security plan was implemented across Islamabad during Eid-ul-Adha, ensuring the safety and security of residents and visitors, officials said.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, Deputy Inspector General of Police Muhammad Jawad Tariq, along with senior officers including SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza and SSP Security Operations Salman Zafar, supervised the security arrangements throughout the Eid holidays. These officials were personally present in the field, visiting checkpoints and recreational spots to oversee the implementation of the security plan.

Security checkpoints were established at all entry and exit points of the city and at key locations within the federal capital. The police took strict action against one-wheeling, reckless driving, and hooliganism. Parks across Islamabad were designated as family parks, restricting entry to families only, and additional measures were taken at popular spots such as Daman-e-Koh and Lake View Park to ensure family safety.

DIG Islamabad noted that the security measures led to a peaceful Eid with no untoward incidents reported. Police officers were instructed to treat families with professionalism, and all SSPs, SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs were present in the field to supervise operations. The dedication of officers who worked in challenging conditions was acknowledged, and the police were commended by citizens for their efforts to maintain peace and order during the holiday.
