Islamabad: The Inspector General of Police in Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, has commended the efforts of more than 7,000 police officers and officials for their dedicated service during the Eid-ul-Adha celebrations. Their commitment ensured the safety, efficient traffic management, and maintenance of law and order in the city over the holiday period.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, IGP Rizvi highlighted that comprehensive security measures were implemented at various locations including Eid prayer sites, parks, shopping centers, cattle markets, and major highways. These arrangements enabled residents to celebrate Eid in a peaceful manner. He noted the public’s appreciation of the security efforts, which allowed them to enjoy the holidays at recreational venues without concern.

IGP Rizvi also mentioned that the officers carried out their duties in an exemplary manner, safeguarding the lives and property of citizens while ensuring smooth traffic flow. The police provided additional security to both national and international delegations during the celebrations. He emphasized that extra personnel were deployed at public spaces to facilitate and protect citizens during their festivities.

The police chief assured citizens of the ongoing vigilance and commitment of the Islamabad Police in protecting the community. He called on the public to enjoy their time with family, confident in the knowledge that the police force is on duty to ensure their safety. The cooperation of the public, alongside the effective strategy of the Islamabad Police, contributed to the peaceful atmosphere experienced during Eid, for which IGP Rizvi expressed his gratitude.
