Director General Safe City Attends Eid-ul-Adha Luncheon at Islamabad Traffic Police Headquarters


ISLAMABAD: A notable Eid-ul-Adha luncheon was held at the Islamabad Traffic Police Headquarters, drawing attention due to the participation of Director General Safe City / DIG Traffic Muhammad Haroon Joya as the chief guest.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the event was attended by Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, who, along with the DG Safe City / DIG Traffic, joined officers and officials in sharing the Eid meal. The gathering was marked by the exchange of Eid greetings and expressions of mutual respect, highlighting the dedication of the traffic police officers and officials.



Following the luncheon, CTO Islamabad visited various duty points, acknowledging the commitment of traffic officers and officials who were on duty during the Eid celebrations. He distributed refreshments and praised their service, emphasizing their role in ensuring a peaceful Eid for citizens. CTO Islamabad commended the officers for their sacrifices and commitment to public service over personal celebrations.



In addition, the Islamabad Traffic Police has implemented a comprehensive traffic management plan to maintain smooth traffic flow and provide safe travel during Eid-ul-Adha. Over 400 traffic officers and officials are deployed at strategic locations, including major roads and recreational areas, to assist citizens.



CTO Islamabad Muhammad Sarfraz Virk reiterated a strict policy against traffic violations such as hooliganism and reckless driving, with special squads allocated to enforce these measures. He assured that families traveling to tourist destinations are receiving full traffic support for safe journeys.



Citizens are urged to adhere to traffic regulations, utilize designated parking areas, and contact “Traffic Helpline 1915” or “Pucar 15” for emergency assistance or traffic-related inquiries.
