Islamabad: A comprehensive security plan was implemented across Islamabad during Eid-ul-Adha, ensuring the safety and security of citizens during the festive period. The Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, oversaw the operations in person, visiting checkpoints and recreational areas to monitor the situation and instruct officers on maintaining respectful interactions with the public.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, DIG Tariq confirmed that extensive protective measures were enforced throughout the city, contributing to a peaceful holiday without any incidents. Security checkpoints were set up at all entry and exit points and within the city to maintain order. The police took decisive action against individuals involved in activities such as one-wheeling and hooliganism.
To further ensure public safety, parks in Islamabad were designated as family parks, restricting access to families only. This policy was strictly implemented in popular locations like Daman-e-Koh and Lake View Park. Senior police officials, including SSPs, SPs, SDPOs, and SHOs, were actively present in the field to oversee and support the security operations.
DIG Tariq praised the commitment of the Islamabad Police officers, highlighting their teamwork and dedication despite challenging conditions. The officers’ presence day and night aimed to maintain peace and security in the city. The efforts of the Islamabad Police were met with appreciation from citizens, who acknowledged the effective security measures during the Eid celebrations.
