Islamabad: In a significant development for Pakistan’s steel industry, a high-level meeting chaired by Mr. Haroon Akhtar Khan, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Industries and Production, underscored the government’s commitment to addressing the challenges faced by steel manufacturers. The meeting, attended by a delegation of leading steel producers, focused on strategies to rejuvenate this crucial sector.
Mr. Khan acknowledged the steel industry’s potential and assured manufacturers that their core challenges are being prioritized. Key initiatives discussed included the revival of sick industrial units, the enactment of bankruptcy laws, and the protection of investor interests.
