Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development meets

Islamabad, August 23, 2022 (PPI-OT):19th meeting of the Standing Committee on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP and HRD) was held today under the chairmanship of Sheikh Fayyaz ud Din, MNA, in OPF Conference Room, OPF Building, G-5, and Islamabad. The Federal Minister for OP and HRD assured the Committee that the summary of special courts for the redressal of grievances of Overseas Pakistanis (OP) should be approved within a month.

While discussing the Emigration Policy for Overseas Pakistanis Secretary M/o OP and HRD informed the Committee that the policy should be finalized after some amendments in the existing policy. The Committee recommended that the Chairman Employs Old Age Benefits Institution my brief the Committee regarding various crimes and fraudulent cases against the officials.

The Committee discussed the issues of the allottees of OPF Housing Scheme Zone-V Islamabad in detail and also constituted a Sub-Committee under the convenor ship of Syed Javed Hasnain, MNA with Dr. Mehreen Razaq Bhutto, Ms. Shakila Luqman, Ms. Shahnaz Saleem Malik, MNAs as Members of the Sub Committee. The Committee will look into the surcharge issues of OPF Valley Zone-V along with the issues of OPF regarding sacked employees, promotion/upgradation, court/legal cases and OPF school teacher’s issues.

The meeting was attended by Syed Javed Hasnain, Dr. Mehreen Razzaq Bhutto, Ms. Shakila Luqman, Ms. Shahnaz Saleem Malik, Mr. Muhammad Jamal ud Din, MNAs and senior officers from the M/o Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP and HRD), NAVTTC, CDA, EOBI also attended the meeting.
