New Delhi: Eighteen people, including women and children, have died and dozens have been injured in a stampede that occurred at New Delhi Railway Station last night.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the stampede occurred after the announcement of a special train for the Maha Kumbh Hindu pilgrimage in Allahabad. Within minutes, panic ensued as passengers surged forward, leading to multiple casualties.
Eyewitnesses reported that the chaos was triggered by delays in two trains, resulting in an unexpected influx of passengers. As people rushed to board the trains, the situation spiraled out of control, with some passengers fainting amid the commotion.
