SSP Operations Islamabad Reviews Security Measures at Imambargahs

Islamabad: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, visited several Imam Bargahs to review the security measures in place for Muharram-ul-Haram. The visit, aimed at evaluating the security plan and preparedness, included other key officials such as Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Islamabad Kainat Azhar Khan, Additional Deputy Commissioner General (ADCG) Islamabad Sahib Zada Muhammad Yousaf, and Superintendent of Police (SP) City Dr. Ayaz Hussain.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the team conducted a thorough inspection of security arrangements at Imam Bargahs, focusing on entry and exit points, procession routes, checkpoints, and the duties of police personnel. SSP Raza addressed officers on-site, emphasizing the need to use all available resources to ensure the safety of citizens and the peaceful conduct of religious gatherings and processions. He directed officers to maintain vigilance, professionalism, and dedication in their responsibilities.

The officers were also instructed to maintain effective coordination with procession organizers and ensure strict implementation of the approved security plan. SSP Operations stressed the importance of monitoring suspicious activities and ensuring a prompt response to any emergencies. He assured that Islamabad Police is on high alert during Muharram-ul-Haram to provide a secure environment for citizens, reaffirming the commitment to maintaining law and order throughout the holy month.
