ISLAMABAD: SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, along with SSP Security Operations Suleman Zafar and other officers, conducted visits to Imam Bargahs and procession routes, assessing the security arrangements for Muharram-ul-Haram.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the visit involved meetings with officers and officials on duty, emphasizing the need for stringent security measures for processions and religious gatherings. Raza directed the implementation of all issued Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maintain law and order, protect lives and property, and ensure a peaceful Muharram.

Raza highlighted the importance of close coordination with relevant stakeholders to promote inter-sect harmony, religious tolerance, and brotherhood during the religious observance. He stated that the vision of Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, guides officers and personnel in their dedicated and professional efforts to secure the capital during Muharram.

The SSP Operations reaffirmed the commitment of Islamabad Police to safeguarding citizens and mourners, maintaining law and order, and preventing any untoward incidents.
