Islamabad: Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, has instructed law enforcement officers to intensify efforts against criminal activities, particularly targeting gangs and illegal activities, during a recent meeting with key police officials.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting involved officers from the Rural, Soan, and Industrial Area zones, including Superintendents of Police (SPs), Sub-Divisional Police Officers (SDPOs), and Station House Officers (SHOs). The focus was on crime prevention and ensuring security, especially in marketplaces. SSP Raza emphasized the adoption of a robust strategy to uphold law and order, directing officers to take stringent and non-discriminatory actions against criminal gangs, drug dealers, and individuals with illegal firearms.

With the last 10 days of Ramadan marking increased Eid shopping activity, SSP Raza stressed the need for heightened security measures in commercial areas. He instructed that all police vehicles remain actively deployed, and the patrolling system be reinforced to ensure public safety. Furthermore, he mandated the presence of police officers in markets to provide citizens with a secure environment for Eid shopping.
