Islamabad: The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Investigation in Islamabad, Muhammad Usman Tariq Butt, held a meeting with officers from the Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU) to assess their performance and provide directives aimed at improving investigative procedures.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, during the meeting, SSP Investigation stressed the necessity of taking decisive legal action against individuals involved in murder cases. He instructed officers to prioritize the arrest of absconding suspects and ensure that all investigations are conducted impartially and based on evidence.
SSP Butt emphasized the importance of compiling substantial evidence to facilitate the effective prosecution of arrested individuals, ensuring they are brought to justice. He underscored that fulfilling all legal requirements is crucial for securing strict penalties for offenders.
He also directed the officers to carry out their duties with the highest level of professionalism, warning that any negligence would not be tolerated. The protection of citizens’ lives and property remains the top priority of the Islamabad Police, he added.
