ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have conducted extensive search and combing operations across the federal capital, resulting in the verification of over 624 individuals, in a bid to enhance security and address criminal activities. The operations, initiated under the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aim to crack down on criminal elements throughout the city.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were led by SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by zonal SPs. The comprehensive effort included checks on 291 households, 37 shops, 13 hotels, 278 motorcycles, and 87 vehicles. During the operations, two suspicious individuals and 21 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further verification. Additionally, individuals found in possession of illegal weapons were arrested, and two pistols with ammunition were confiscated.
Qazi Ali Raza noted that these initiatives are part of a broader strategy to reinforce security measures across Islamabad. The police continue to act decisively against criminal elements, including land grabbers and drug dealers, in various parts of the district.
