IGP Islamabad Focuses on Enhancing Investigation and Prosecution Systems


ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi convened a strategic meeting to evaluate and improve the city’s investigation and prosecution systems. The meeting, attended by senior police officials, focused on addressing citizen complaints, ensuring effective prosecution, and enhancing transparency in law enforcement processes.



According to Islamabad Capital Police, the session was attended by DIG Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq and other key legal and investigation officers. The discussions centered on reviewing legal affairs, expediting unresolved cases, and implementing measures to boost the quality of policing. IGP Rizvi emphasized merit-based investigations and urged officers to prioritize resolving citizens’ complaints and collaborating closely with prosecutors to ensure robust case management in courts.



In a subsequent meeting with DG Safe City Muhammad Haroon Joya and Major Ijaz of the SWAT Force, IGP Rizvi assessed the city’s surveillance and emergency response systems. He advocated for the increased use of modern technology in crime prevention and detection and called for enhanced coordination among police units to improve response times and SWAT Force readiness.



Additionally, IGP Rizvi met with SP Headquarters Pari Gul Tareen to discuss administrative matters, focusing on the welfare of police personnel and resource management. He stressed the importance of community-oriented policing and the need for professionalism and accountability in all police operations.
