Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Launches Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign in Islamabad


Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, initiated the Monsoon Tree Plantation Campaign by planting an olive sapling at the Parliament House lawn. According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the inauguration ceremony was attended by Members of Parliament, senior officers from the National Assembly Secretariat, and media representatives. A prayer was offered for the country’s progress, prosperity, and security.



In his address, Speaker Sardar Ayaz Sadiq highlighted the necessity of tree plantation for environmental protection and the future security of upcoming generations. He emphasized the importance of promoting tree plantation to create a greener Pakistan and mitigate the impacts of climate change. The Speaker called on Members of Parliament and the public to engage in tree plantation efforts actively. He noted that Pakistan’s climate is conducive to olive cultivation and promoting it could help achieve self-sufficiency in the edible oil sector.



Sardar Ayaz Sadiq also remarked on the economic benefits of tree plantation and urged cooperation between the government and citizens to enhance the nation’s greenery. He emphasized that increasing tree plantation is essential for a cleaner and healthier Pakistan. The Speaker expressed gratitude to Member of the National Assembly Faisal Ameen for providing the olive sapling for the plantation.
