Islamabad: An exhibition displaying the calligraphic works of the esteemed artist Wasal Shahid was hosted at the Parliament House to commemorate the 1501st birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

According to National Assembly of Pakistan, the exhibition was inaugurated by Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq. During the event, Mr. Shahid provided a briefing to Speaker Sadiq, discussing the calligraphic pieces and emphasizing their artistic and spiritual significance.

In his remarks, Speaker Sadiq highlighted the role of the Holy Prophet Muhammad as a source of mercy and guidance for humanity. He noted that events focusing on Seerat-un-Nabi renew faith and offer spiritual motivation. The Speaker expressed that the exhibition would serve as a guiding light for the younger generation and emphasized the importance of spiritual and intellectual activities in fostering unity among the Muslim Ummah.

Attendees praised the exhibition for effectively highlighting the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet Muhammad, commending the organizers for their efforts. The event drew attendance from ambassadors of Islamic countries, Federal Ministers Khawaja Muhammad Asif and Khalid Hussain Magsi, members of the National Assembly, and media representatives. Additionally, representatives from various schools of thought and officers from the National Assembly Secretariat were present at the ceremony.
