Islamabad: Speaker of the National Assembly, Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, commemorated the 59th death anniversary of Madar-e-Millat Mohtarma Fatima Jinnah by highlighting her significant contributions to Pakistan’s history. He emphasized her role alongside Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah during the Pakistan Movement and her dedication to democratic values and constitutional supremacy after the country’s formation, pledging that the nation will remember her service with respect.
According to National Assembly of Pakistan, Speaker Sadiq praised Fatima Jinnah for dedicating her life to national service and inspiring generations of women to engage in education, self-confidence, and social service. He reiterated that her vision of a united, democratic, and prosperous Pakistan remains a guiding principle for the nation.
Sadiq also expressed hopes for the nation’s commitment to her ideals, praying for her elevated ranks in the afterlife. Deputy Speaker Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah echoed these sentiments, celebrating her influence on women’s participation and national unity, and describing her as a timeless figure in the country’s history.
