Islamabad: Superintendent of Police Saddar Zone Khalid Mehmood Awan has directed a robust crackdown on criminal gangs and an enhancement of citizen services across police stations, as per a recent meeting with Station House Officers of the Saddar Zone.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the meeting evaluated officers’ performance and discussed key areas including the law and order situation, crime prevention measures, and the arrest and prosecution of offenders. SP Awan emphasized the need for intelligence-led operations targeting gangs involved in theft, robbery, and property crimes, urging the quick arrest of gang members and addressing absconding individuals.
SP Awan also instructed the strengthening of service delivery through the Special Initiative Police Stations protocol, advocating for professionalism and prompt complaint resolutions. He highlighted the importance of modern policing techniques and teamwork in crime prevention efforts, reiterating that protecting citizens and enforcing the law are top priorities. Negligence or misconduct in duties, he warned, will not be tolerated.
