ISLAMABAD: In a concerted effort to enhance security and suppress criminal activities, the Islamabad Police carried out extensive search and combing operations across various sectors of the capital, scrutinizing over 438 individuals, as part of a citywide crackdown.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, these operations were initiated following directives from Inspector General of Police Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, and were executed under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza. The operations were meticulously monitored by the respective zonal SPs to ensure effectiveness.

During the operations, 172 households, 38 shops, 19 hotels, 235 motorcycles, and 105 vehicles were systematically checked. Authorities transferred 11 suspicious individuals and 22 motorcycles to the police station for detailed verification. Additionally, individuals found in possession of illegal weapons were apprehended, leading to the recovery of two pistols and related ammunition.

SSP Operations Islamabad, Qazi Ali Raza, emphasized that the primary aim of these operations is to intensify the clampdown on criminal elements and bolster security measures throughout the city. He highlighted the ongoing nature of these operations across various areas in the district, indicating a sustained campaign against criminal activities, including those related to land grabbing and drug trafficking.
