Skill Training Programs Aimed at Empowering Women in Balochistan

Quetta: Dr. Rababa Khan Bilidi, Adviser to Chief Minister Balochistan for Women Development Department, emphasized the importance of skill training programs for making the women of Balochistan, particularly those from remote areas, independent. He highlighted the benefits such programs have not only on the women’s confidence but also on the welfare of their families. This announcement came during a meeting with a delegation led by Sana Durrani, a political and social activist.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the delegation presented a project that focuses on teaching non-traditional skills to empower women across various districts in Balochistan. Dr. Bilidi expressed satisfaction with the proposed project, noting the necessity of collaborative efforts to unlock the potential of women and secure a prosperous future for them. He reiterated the provincial government’s commitment to providing opportunities that empower women and enhance the social and economic framework of the region.

The meeting also covered the promotion of traditional handicrafts from Quetta and other regions. Discussions aimed at bringing these products to national and international markets were prominent. Dr. Bilidi praised the unique craftsmanship of Balochi women, describing it as a reflection of their creativity and diligence. He affirmed the government’s dedication to developing their skills and ensuring their work receives the global recognition it deserves.
