Lahore: Minister for Railways Hanif Abbasi has announced a series of measures aimed at addressing the longstanding issues plaguing Pakistan Railways, emphasizing the use of all available resources for this purpose.
Speaking at a press conference on Thursday, Abbasi underscored the significance of a collaborative approach to improve the institution. He outlined plans for the modernization of the Railways workshop, which will soon see the introduction of advanced machinery.
In a bid to enhance operational efficiency, Abbasi revealed that the overtime system within the Railways has been reinstated. Additionally, several initiatives are underway to further improve the railway system.
The Minister also pointed out that efforts are being made to secure spare parts necessary for the maintenance of coaches, locomotives, and trains, which are crucial for the smooth functioning of the railway services.
