Karachi, The Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, inaugurated a new women’s organization at the Governor’s House, marking a significant step towards the empowerment of women from underprivileged sections of society.
According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori commended the efforts of CEO/Founder Hara Soomro in establishing Womentum, describing it as a beacon of hope for women facing societal barriers. He recognized the non-profit organization’s commitment to assisting women in becoming economically empowered and independent. The Governor highlighted Womentum’s role in providing training and resources to help women improve their personal and professional lives.
Governor Tesori also noted that Womentum offers business opportunities at both local and international levels, contributing to the country’s economic growth. The organization’s mission, he said, is to engage people from all walks of life in constructive activities, fostering a sense of community across gender, age, race, and religion. Additionally, he mentioned the Safar Awards, an initiative by Womentum to acknowledge and motivate its members. The Governor closed his address by wishing the organization success in its noble mission.
