Sindh Governor Inaugurates Logo of New University, Highlights Education and Unity


Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tesori inaugurated the logo of the Imam Ahmad Raza University of Emerging Sciences and Technology on Monday at the Governor House. The ceremony, described as simple yet dignified, included a prize distribution for students who designed the university logo. Distinguished guests, including Mufti Muneebur Rahman and Professor Rashid Kamal Ansari, attended the event.



According to Sindh Governor House, Governor Tesori emphasized the importance of higher education as a top priority and praised the integration of educational initiatives with social welfare activities. He highlighted the role of the youth as a crucial asset for the nation’s bright future and stressed on the need for advanced IT training to harness their potential effectively. Governor Tesori also affirmed the commitment of both civil and military leadership towards a stable economy and robust defense capabilities. He addressed the threats posed by external adversaries, stating that unity and consensus are key to countering such challenges. The Governor remarked that despite the conspiracies aimed at destabilizing Pakistan, the country responded with a unified stance on its Independence Day.



Mufti Muneebur Rahman spoke about the Governor’s efforts to make the Governor House a center for IT education, benefiting the general public. He lauded the establishment of Imam Ahmad Raza University as a significant step by the Seylani Welfare Trust towards educational development.



Further, Maulana Bashir Farooqui, founder of the Seylani Welfare Trust, announced the formal establishment of Imam Ahmad Raza University during the event. He noted that the university’s namesake, Imam Ahmad Raza, has been the subject of 52 PhDs worldwide and that the Trust currently operates four institutes offering diverse educational programs.



The ceremony also served as a platform for Governor Tesori to announce a forthcoming solemn event at the Governor’s House on September 6 to honor national martyrs, reinforcing the themes of remembrance and national unity.
