Sindh Governor Advocates for Corruption Eradication at NAB Seminar on International Anti-Corruption Day

Karachi, On the occasion of International Anti-Corruption Day, a seminar was held at the Governor House in Karachi, led by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), where the Governor of Sindh delivered a powerful address emphasizing the critical need to combat corruption. The event was attended by notable figures including IG Sindh Police Rafat Mukhtar, the Chairman and Deputy Chairman of NAB, Former Federal Minister Barrister Shahida Jameel, and religious scholar Maulana Bashir Fariqi.

According to Sindh Governor House, the Governor stressed the importance of establishing a strong and welfare-oriented state, stating that rooting out corruption is essential to achieving this goal. He commended the NAB for its efforts and strategic approach, which includes awareness, prevention, and enforcement, in tackling corruption.

The Governor highlighted the severe impact of corruption on society and economies, calling for a steadfast commitment to creating a corruption-free society. He congratulated the DG NAB Karachi and his team for organizing the seminar, which plays a crucial role in raising awareness and encouraging collective action against corruption.

In his speech, the Governor underscored the need for self-reliance and individual responsibility in combating corruption. He lamented that despite 76 years of independence, significant challenges still remain, and stressed the urgency of acting for the betterment of future generations. The Governor’s message focused on rising above fear and apathy, emphasizing that each citizen has a role to play in this fight.

The seminar on International Anti-Corruption Day served as a platform for reinforcing the message that corruption hinders progress and prosperity. It brought together leaders and experts to discuss strategies and reinforce a collective commitment to eradicating corruption in all its forms.
