Sindh Chief Minister Urges US Investors to Explore Province’s Economic Opportunities


KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah has invited American investors to forge long-term partnerships in Sindh’s economic sectors, promising government support and policy stability. Addressing a US business delegation at the CM House, he highlighted Sindh’s strategic location and investment prospects in energy, technology, infrastructure, and more.



According to Chief Minister Sindh, the meeting saw participation from US business leaders, investors, and Sindh government officials, including the Special Investment Facilitation Council. The Chief Minister emphasized Sindh’s contribution to Pakistan’s GDP and its position as a gateway to international markets. He assured investors of a transparent and business-friendly environment, pointing to regulatory reforms and initiatives aimed at easing business operations.



Murad Shah outlined Sindh’s vast potential in renewable energy and technology, drawing attention to resources such as Thar’s coal reserves and the province’s wind and solar potential. He also detailed transformative projects like the Keti Bandar Integrated Industrial and Maritime Hub, Sindh International Financial Centre, and various renewable energy initiatives.



The American delegation expressed strong interest in the province’s strategic advantages and infrastructure initiatives, specifically in renewable energy, AI, and healthcare sectors. They praised Sindh’s PPP framework and the government’s commitment to investment facilitation, signaling intent for further discussions and partnerships.



The Chief Minister concluded by reinforcing the commitment to fostering a long-term economic relationship with the US, establishing a facilitation desk for American investors in the Investment Department to support future ventures.
