Srinagar: The State Investigation Agency (SIA) has filed a chargesheet in a special court against a Twitter user for allegedly promoting anti-India and separatist content on social media in Budgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
According to Kashmir Media Service, the occupation authorities issued a statement in Srinagar detailing the charges. The statement claims that the Twitter handle was engaged in promoting terrorism and separatism through its posts. This led to the registration of a formal case at the Police Station, Counter Intelligence Kashmir- State Investigation Agency (CIK-SIA).
The Twitter account in question has been identified as belonging to Irfan-ul-Haq, a resident of Kausa Khalsa in the Budgam district.
The case highlights ongoing tensions and efforts by authorities to monitor and combat online content perceived as threatening to national security.
