Senior Police Officers Oversee Muharram Procession Security in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: Senior police officials in Islamabad provided real-time supervision during the 9th Muharram central procession, ensuring exemplary order and security throughout the event. This comes as part of a strategic initiative by Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi to implement highly professional and well-coordinated security measures.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the presence of high-ranking officers was a critical component of the security protocol, with continuous deployment along the procession route. The officers conducted site visits, reviewed personnel deployment, and monitored sensitive areas to ensure adherence to the security plan.

In addition to overseeing security measures, senior officers engaged directly with citizens, offering guidance and addressing public concerns promptly. This engagement aimed to enhance public facilitation while maintaining rigorous security standards.

The field presence of these officers was pivotal in enabling immediate responses to any situations that arose during the procession, ensuring full compliance with the security plan. The coordinated efforts significantly bolstered the operation, contributing to the maintenance of law and order.

IGP Rizvi emphasized that the active field presence and direct supervision by senior officers underscore the Islamabad Police’s commitment to public safety and the effective implementation of security protocols.
