Senior Police Officers Hold Open Court to Address Public Grievances

Islamabad: Senior police officers in Islamabad have initiated open court sessions in their offices to address public grievances, following directives from the Inspector General of Police, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi. The Deputy Inspector General of Police, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, alongside Senior Superintendents of Police Usman Tariq Butt and Qazi Ali Raza, spearheaded these efforts to ensure immediate redressal of citizen issues.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, during these sessions, officers listened to citizen concerns and directed relevant personnel to take prompt legal action on the marked applications, with a mandate to report back within a specified timeframe. Officers emphasized their commitment to protecting citizens’ lives and property while maintaining their dignity and resolving all issues with priority.

A strict stance against corruption was reiterated, with a zero-tolerance policy for bribery. The officers advocated for the use of all available resources to resolve grievances efficiently, and stated that the open court initiative will also help in enforcing self-accountability within the police force. Equal rights for every citizen and merit-based decisions were underscored as fundamental principles.
