Senate Chairman Urges Global Action Against Israeli Actions in Palestine

Islamabad, Chairman of the Pakistani Senate, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, has called for international intervention to address the situation in Palestine, specifically urging actions against Israel’s treatment of Palestinians. This statement was made during a meeting with the Iraqi Ambassador to Pakistan, Hamid Abbas Lafta, in Islamabad.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions between Chairman Sanjrani and Ambassador Lafta focused on the current situation in Palestine, bilateral relations, and mutual concerns. Chairman Sanjrani stressed the need for immediate lifting of the siege on Gaza and facilitating the unimpeded supply of food and medicine to the region.

Highlighting the deep-rooted ties between Pakistan and Iraq, Chairman Sanjrani emphasized that these connections are based on shared aspects of religion, brotherhood, Islamic culture, and mutual respect. He also reiterated the significance of Pakistan’s long-standing brotherly relations with Iraq.

On his part, Ambassador Lafta expressed Iraq’s appreciation for its amicable ties with Pakistan. He underscored the necessity of broadening economic and trade relations between the two countries. The Ambassador acknowledged the valuable contributions of Pakistani expatriates in Iraq and assured them of comprehensive support.

Furthermore, Ambassador Lafta lauded Pakistan’s efforts in promoting unity within the Islamic world. The meeting signifies a continuation of diplomatic efforts to address regional issues and foster stronger ties between Pakistan and Iraq.
