ISLAMABAD: Chairman Senate, H.E Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, has extended his congratulations to the people of Nepal and the leadership of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) following the party’s recent parliamentary election victory.
According to Senate of Pakistan, Chairman Gillani emphasized that the RSP’s success demonstrates the Nepalese people’s trust in democratic principles and a new wave of leadership focused on transparency, accountability, and public service. He specifically highlighted Balendra Shah, noting his influence as a young leader with a reform-driven approach, innovative governance, and commitment to public challenges, particularly in local governance and urban development.
Chairman Gillani remarked that the emergence of young leadership in democratic politics is a promising development for institutional strengthening and responsive governance. He expressed optimism that under Shah’s leadership, the RSP will significantly contribute to Nepal’s democratic consolidation, socio-economic advancement, and institutional growth.
