Quetta: Security forces in Balochistan have killed 36 terrorists in a series of intelligence-based operations across the province, targeting what officials describe as Indian-sponsored groups. The operations, which took place over the last 24 hours, focused on the districts of Mastung, Quetta, Kalat, and Sibi, according to a press release.

According to Inter Services Public Relations, the operations involved comprehensive anti-terror efforts aimed at dismantling networks referred to as Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khwarij. In Mastung, security forces identified and engaged a group of terrorists, resulting in the death of six individuals and the destruction of a cache of ammunition and explosive devices.

In Quetta’s Shaban area, forces uncovered four hideouts, leading to a confrontation that neutralized 26 militants. Meanwhile, in Kalat, two terrorists were killed during a raid on a hideout. In Sibi’s Bhag area, a coordinated effort between security forces and the local population thwarted an attempted raid on a police station, resulting in the deaths of two terrorists.

The operations are part of a broader counter-terrorism campaign named “Azm e Istehkam,” approved by the Federal Apex Committee on the National Action Plan. This ongoing campaign aims to eradicate foreign-sponsored terrorism from Pakistan, and security forces continue to conduct sanitization efforts to ensure no threats remain in the region.
