North Waziristan: Security forces successfully conducted an intelligence-based operation in the Razmak area of North Waziristan, resulting in the elimination of five militants associated with the Indian-sponsored group, Fitna Al Khwarij.
According to Radio Pakistan, the operation was launched following reports of the group’s presence in the area. During the intense exchange of fire, Major Hafiz Ihsan Elahi, who was leading the operation, was killed. The operation also led to the recovery of weapons and ammunition from the militants, who were reportedly involved in attacks against security forces, law enforcement agencies, and civilians.
A subsequent sanitization operation is underway to ensure the complete elimination of any remaining Khwarij militants in the region. This effort forms part of a broader counterterrorism campaign under the Azm-e-Istehkam initiative, aimed at eradicating foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country. According to ISPR, the sacrifices made by soldiers like Major Elahi underscore the country’s determination to maintain national security at all costs.
