ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Police have conducted an extensive series of search and combing operations across the federal capital, checking over 350 individuals as part of a broader initiative to combat crime. The operations, led by the directives of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, aim to curtail criminal activity in the city.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the operations were supervised by SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza and monitored by zonal SPs. The comprehensive checks involved 219 households, 39 shops, one hotel, 164 motorcycles, and 90 vehicles. As a result, eight suspicious individuals and 18 motorcycles were taken to the police station for further investigation. Additionally, arrests were made for possession of illegal weapons, and police recovered two pistols and ammunition.

SSP Operations Qazi Ali Raza emphasized that the goal of these operations is to intensify pressure on criminal elements and enhance the overall security of the city. The police stated that such measures would continue across different areas to counteract the activities of criminals, land grabbers, and drug dealers.
