RAWALPINDI: The 99th anniversary of the founding of the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) of China was marked with a commemorative event at the General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, highlighting the strong military partnership between Pakistan and China. The occasion underscored the enduring ties between the two nations amidst evolving global and regional challenges.
According to Radio Pakistan, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defense Forces, emphasized the unique and steadfast friendship between Pakistan and China. He reiterated that the Pakistan Armed Forces and the PLA are genuine partners, united by mutual trust and a shared commitment to peace and stability in the region.
Field Marshal Munir congratulated the PLA on its 99th founding anniversary, acknowledging its significant contributions to China’s defense and international peace. Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Jiang Zaidong also addressed the gathering, expressing appreciation for Pakistan Armed Forces’ role in countering terrorism. He reaffirmed China’s support for Pakistan and the ongoing strengthening of their strategic partnership.
