Second Batch of Women Graduates from Islamabad’s ITP Uraan Riding School

Islamabad: The Islamabad Traffic Police Uraan Scooty and Motor Riding School celebrated the graduation of its second batch of female students at a ceremony held at the police headquarters in Faizabad. The event saw the participation of Chief Traffic Officer Islamabad, Muhammad Sarfraz Virk, who distributed certificates to the graduates, highlighting the program’s role in promoting women’s empowerment and independence.

According to Islamabad Capital Police, the 21-day training program equipped participants with practical skills in driving cars and scooters, along with essential knowledge of vehicle maintenance, including tire replacement. Muhammad Sarfraz Virk emphasized that the initiative aligns with the vision of Inspector General of Police Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi and aims to ensure that women have safe and independent mobility options.

The ITP Uraan School, designed to enhance women’s confidence and independence, is an essential step in supporting their aspirations and professional development. The program is set to continue, with registrations now open for the third batch. The school provides training that meets international standards, delivered by female trainers, catering specifically to female students and working women in the twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
