SCO Heads of Government Convene in Islamabad for 23rd Meeting

Islamabad: Leaders from the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states have gathered in Islamabad to participate in the 23rd SCO Council of Heads of Government meeting, chaired by Pakistan’s Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif. The assembly brings together key representatives from across the region, with high-level delegations aiming to discuss and enhance cooperative measures among the member countries.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the foreign dignitaries present include Prime Minister of Kyrgyzstan Zhaparov Akylbek, Belarus Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of Tajikistan Qohir Rasulzoda, Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov, Turkmenistan’s Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Rashid Meredov, Indian Minister for External Affairs Subrahmanyam Jaishankar, and Prime Minister of Mongolia Oyun-Erdene Luvsannamsarai. This high-profile meeting, presided over by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, aims to foster discussions on enhancing regional connectivity and economic cooperation among the SCO nations.
