Makkah: At the gracious invitation of King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the President of Türkiye, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, and the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, visited Saudi Arabia for the Makkah Al-Mukarramah Summit for Joint Defence. The summit, held at Al-Safa Palace in Makkah, focused on strengthening the defense ties between the three nations.

According to Press Information Department, the leaders from Saudi Arabia, Türkiye, and Pakistan signed the Makkah Joint Defence Agreement, a significant move aimed at enhancing collective security and promoting regional stability. The agreement stipulates that an armed attack against any of the three countries will be considered an attack against all, thereby reinforcing their commitment to mutual defense. The summit highlighted the strategic interests shared by the nations, built upon historical ties and Islamic solidarity. The agreement aims to bolster defense cooperation and act as a deterrent against aggression.
