Sanitation Department cleanliness drive in Sector D-12/4 

Islamabad, October 20, 2022 (PPI-OT):The administration of Capital Development Authority is taking special measures to maintain high standards of cleanliness in the city. In this regard, in the light of the special instructions of the CDA administration, effective measures are also being taken by the Sanitation Department in Sector D-12/4 for sanitation.

As per the details, initially the waste of 30 houses of Sector D-12/4 has been started as a segregation pilot project for 1 month by the concerned staff of Sanitation Wing. In this regard, separate bags have also been distributed for disposal of recyclable and non-recyclable waste. Blue bags are reserved for recycling while green bags are reserved for non-usable waste. The concerned staff of the Sanitation Wing are guided by trained UNDP staff.

Additionally, this pilot project with organic and non-organic waste is currently being started on a test basis. After the success of the pilot project, its scope will be further expanded. It should be noted that the same procedure is adopted to recycle waste in developed countries as well. Similarly, organic and recycled can be separated with additional colour coding.

On this occasion, the Department of Sanitation of the Capital Development Authority has also appealed to the public to dispose of garbage and garbage in designated places and garbage trolleys and to cooperate with the organization in keeping the city clean and beautiful. Cooperate.
