Islamabad: The Founder President of the Sahiwal Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ms. Humaira Bukhari, met with Ms. Misbah Khar, Advisor to the Chairman Senate of Pakistan, in Islamabad to discuss the role of women-led enterprises in the nation’s economic development and the need for an enabling environment for women entrepreneurs.

According to Senate of Pakistan, the meeting centered on enhancing women’s economic participation, promoting entrepreneurship, and strengthening institutional support for women-owned businesses. Ms. Bukhari emphasized the Chamber’s efforts in empowering women through initiatives such as business facilitation, entrepreneurial training, and advocacy for women-friendly policies. She highlighted the importance of supporting innovation and sustainable business growth to encourage women’s active economic contribution.

Ms. Khar commended the Sahiwal Women Chamber’s efforts and stressed that women’s economic empowerment is vital for sustainable national development. She highlighted the need for collaboration between public institutions and organizations representing women entrepreneurs to address current challenges and unlock the potential of women-led businesses.

The Advisor reiterated the Senate’s commitment to promoting inclusive development and women’s empowerment under the leadership of Chairman Senate Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani. Both parties resolved to continue working together to promote women’s entrepreneurship and encourage policy initiatives for a more inclusive business environment in Pakistan.
