Pakistan and Azerbaijan Explore Enhanced Bilateral Cooperation


ISLAMABAD: Advisor to the Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Ms. Misbah Khar, met with H.E. Mr. Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador of the Republic of Azerbaijan, at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in Islamabad to discuss expanding bilateral cooperation in multiple sectors, including parliamentary engagement, trade, and cultural exchanges.



According to Senate of Pakistan, during the meeting, Ms. Khar conveyed greetings from Chairman Senate of Pakistan Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani and reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to strengthening its strategic partnership with Azerbaijan. She acknowledged Azerbaijan’s support on regional and international issues, emphasizing the mutual trust and shared values between the two nations.



Ambassador Farhadov highlighted the positive trajectory of relations between Pakistan and Azerbaijan and expressed a desire to further expand cooperation. He stressed the importance both nations’ leaderships place on enhancing bilateral engagement.



Mrs. Tarana Farhadova, the Ambassador’s spouse, presented her book on Pakistan’s culture and hospitality, which Ms. Khar appreciated as a token of affection and respect. She noted that such literary contributions strengthen cultural understanding and goodwill between nations.



The meeting concluded with a commitment to deepen bilateral relations through parliamentary diplomacy, cultural exchanges, and increased people-to-people contacts.
