Romanian Choir Performs Pakistan’s National Anthem in Choral Format in Islamabad

ISLAMABAD: In an event that underscored the strengthening ties between Pakistan and Romania, the Romanian National Chamber Choir “Madrigal – Marin Constantin” performed Pakistan’s national anthem in a choral format in Islamabad. The ceremony marked the official launch of the anthem’s choral version and was attended by notable figures including Chairman Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani, Romanian Ambassador to Pakistan Dan Stoenescu, and other diplomats and officials.

According to Radio Pakistan, the event also featured an exhibition showcasing over six decades of Romania-Pakistan relations. The exhibition highlighted significant milestones in political dialogue, economic collaboration, and cultural exchange between the two nations.

During his speech, Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani noted that earlier this year, Romania had offered Pakistan its first-ever professional choral arrangement and written score of the national anthem. This cultural initiative was presented to the Pakistani Senate on Pakistan Day, coinciding with Pakistan’s diplomatic efforts in the Middle East ceasefire. Gilani expressed gratitude to the Romanian authorities for their support, emphasizing that the project represents a cultural bridge and symbolizes the enduring partnership between the two countries.
