Lahore: The Government of Punjab has updated the minimum eligibility requirements for the Honhaar Scholarship Program, which impacts students across various educational institutions.
According to Higher Education Department – Government of The Punjab, the revised eligibility criteria are set to accommodate more students by setting differentiated thresholds for public and private institutions. Public Sector Medical and Dental Colleges now require a minimum of 80%, while Federal and Private Universities demand 70% for Sciences and 65% for Arts and Social Sciences. Similarly, Public Sector Universities have set their bars at 70% for Sciences and 65% for Arts and Social Sciences. Furthermore, Higher Education Department (HED) Colleges have adjusted their requirements to 65% for Sciences and 60% for Arts and Social Sciences.
These changes aim to align the scholarship qualifications more closely with the varying standards of educational institutions, thereby broadening the accessibility of financial aid for deserving students in Punjab.
