Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed satisfaction and gratitude towards overseas Pakistanis for sending record remittances, which have surpassed the four billion dollar mark in March.
In a statement acknowledging the significant contribution of expatriates, the Prime Minister highlighted that these remittances play a crucial role in the country’s economic stability. The State Bank of Pakistan reported that in March 2025, remittances reached an unprecedented high of 4.1 billion dollars, bringing the total for the current fiscal year to 28 billion dollars.
Prime Minister Sharif emphasized that this record-breaking achievement reflects the dedication and trust of overseas Pakistanis in the national economy. He noted that the high level of remittances indicates confidence in government policies and reiterated that expatriates are a valuable asset to the nation.
The Prime Minister assured that the government is committed to providing all possible facilities to overseas Pakistanis. He commended their hard work and stated that the entire nation takes pride in their contributions, which are pivotal for economic progress.
