Islamabad: In a recent press conference, Federal Minister for Science and Technology Khalid Hussain Magsi, alongside leaders from the Balochistan Awami Party (BAP), addressed the pressing issues facing Balochistan. Magsi underscored that the province’s problems would not be resolved through sit-ins and protests, emphasizing the importance of negotiation and dialogue.

Magsi expressed concern over the current situation in Balochistan, urging Akhtar Mengal, leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), to reconsider his protest strategy and return to the negotiating table. He stressed the importance of prioritizing the welfare of the people and maintaining the strength of the state.

The minister reassured that both the provincial government and the state are actively working to address the grievances of the people while upholding their authority. He noted that politics is a continuous process, but the state remains committed to fulfilling its responsibilities.

During the conference, Magsi revealed recent efforts to engage with Mengal, including a meeting with Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani. Magsi himself has also reached out to Mengal, encouraging him to review his decisions in light of the changing political landscape.
