Re-polling Scheduled in Select Polling Stations of NA-88, PS-18, and PK-90 Constituencies

Lahore, The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced that re-polling at specific polling stations within the constituencies of NA-88 Khushbu, PS-18 Ghotki-I, and PK-90 Kohat-I is set to take place tomorrow. This decision comes in the wake of incidents involving the pilferage, snatching, and burning of polling materials, which compromised the integrity of the voting process in these areas during the general elections.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the ECP had previously ordered re-polling as a necessary measure to ensure the fairness and transparency of the electoral process. In preparation for the re-polling, Provincial Election Commissioner Punjab Ejaz Anwar Chauhan presided over a meeting in Lahore today to review the arrangements at the 26 affected polling stations in NA-88 Khushab.

The re-polling initiative reflects the ECP’s commitment to upholding democratic principles by ensuring that every vote is fairly cast and counted. The affected constituencies are being closely monitored to prevent any further irregularities and to guarantee that the re-polling proceeds smoothly and without incident.

The outcome of these re-polling efforts will play a crucial role in determining the final representation for the constituencies involved, emphasizing the importance of integrity in the electoral process.
