Rawalpindi Celebrates Military Gallantry at GHQ Investiture Ceremony


Rawalpindi, The General Headquarters in Rawalpindi was the venue for a prestigious investiture ceremony where Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir awarded military honors to Army personnel. The event recognized acts of gallantry during operations and meritorious services to the nation.



According to Inter Services Public Relations, the ceremony was attended by a large number of senior Army officers and the families of awardees. Medals awarded included the Sitara-I-Imtiaz (Military) and Tamgha-I-Basalat. Additionally, medals for fallen heroes were received by their family members. COAS General Munir paid tribute to the Shuhada and Ghazis, emphasizing their crucial role in the nation’s defense and independence. He highlighted the sacrifices of the soldiers and their families as foundational to Pakistan’s security and resilience.
