Lahore: Minister for National Food Security and Research Rana Tanveer Hussain emphasized the critical need to enhance Pakistan’s export capabilities to drive sustainable economic growth. Speaking at the Expo Centre, he underscored that bolstering exports is vital to reduce the nation’s reliance on imports.
According to Radio Pakistan, Hussain highlighted that while Pakistan received approximately $42 billion in workers’ remittances last financial year, this alone is insufficient to propel economic advancement. He stated that the government has set an ambitious target to increase exports to $60 billion, a goal he deemed essential for fortifying the national economy.
